After a brief period working in the wartime defense industry, he returned home and studied design, later apprenticing under Tsuchiyu masters including Yoshizō Iwamoto. His work carries both graphic clarity and warmth — simple lines that feel alive.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis particular doll was found in an antique shop in East London, far from where it was first made. After travelling across continents, it has finally returned to Japan with me, now resting in Tokyo.
