This carved bone egg, fitted with a small brass loop for wearing on a chain, unscrews to reveal a tiny hand-carved chick resting inside.

I first came across this piece whilst traveling through the south of England — in a quiet antique shop tucked behind a stone wall.
It caught my eye instantly, and I couldn’t forget it.
A few months later, I returned to find it still waiting there, as if meant to be.
A charming pendant, small enough to wear close, quietly holding its secret within.
